In 2014, MANZANA, one of the market leaders in the field of services for the ecological disposal of office equipment, cleaning and comprehensive service of offices, supported the Save the Tree campaign and held a waste paper contest among its customers. The Ukrainian offices of large Western companies took part in the competition, among which MANZANA employees determined the top three in terms of the amount of waste paper collected.
According to the staff of MANZANA company, often office employees do not wonder about the collection of waste paper. To date, this area is actively developing in industries and warehouses, while tons of paper that office employees use at their workplace daily are thrown into the trash. That is why it is extremely important to convey information about the benefits of collecting waste paper directly to the office workers themselves.
As the director of MANZANA Anna Solovey stated, “for us this area is new. Our company has successfully provided services for the disposal of office equipment, but for the first time in 2014 we dealt with the issue of collecting waste paper in the offices of our clients. In such a short time, we were able to convince more than 20 companies to join our Save the Tree campaign. According to the results of the waste paper collection contest in 2014, the leaders were Johnson & Johnson, Dr. Reddy’s and Indesit, dividing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
According to the staff of MANZANA company, thanks to the joint efforts, more than 15 trees were saved, 20,000 liters of water, 1,000 kW of electricity were saved and the emission of 1,700 kg of CO2 was prevented. The entire MANZANA team would like to thank all the companies that participated in this competition.
